PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform high volume image printing, based upon image data. SOLUTION: The image data for image printing and quantity information showing an image print quantity based upon the image data are transferred from a copying machine 1-1 to a printer 1-4, which receives the image data and the quantity information showing the image print quantity from the copying machine 1-1 and prints images based upon the image data as many as specified by the quantity information; when the printer 1-4 fails to print by the quantity shown by the quantity information, the printer 1-4 sends notices of the failure and the remaining print quantity to the copying machine 1-1, which retransfers the image data and quantity information indicating the remaining image print quantity to another printer 1-1.
