PURPOSE: An optical fiber and an optical chemical reactor are provided to dissolve a toxic organic compound into a harmless compound using optical energy of a lamp or solar energy and heterogeneous semiconductor photocatalysts. CONSTITUTION: A silica buffer coating (11) of an optical fiber is piled and a silica cladding(10), which is a thin film, is perfectly removed. A silica core(9) is etched using acetone and ethanol and at the same time, an optic catalyst puts into about 15wt% of solution and slurry is agitated for one day using a magnetic bar. After etching, an optical fiber bundle puts into mixing solution with optical catalyst for about 10 minutes and pull out to dry. Then, the bundle is heated at a temperature of 300°C for one hour and that process is repeated at 5 to 10 times to accomplish an intended coating amount and stability of optical catalyst.
