The windscreen wiper consists of at least one wiper blade (1) in a carrier structure (4) pivoted to the wiper arm (7) extending beyond the end of the blade. The blade is a hollow strip. It has apertures (2) directed towards the windscreen surface. It is fitted in a carrier structure which is also a hollow strip and forms an enclosed cavity with it. A vacuum line connection (9) extends out from this cavity.
