SLAB CENTERING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A slab centering device is provided to prevent an accident such as the fall of a slab and the like by automatically controlling the center of a slab to be equalized with a lifting center of a tong crane or a pick-up crane. CONSTITUTION: A slab centering device has: a support unit(30) having a frame(11) fixed lengthwise on the upper part of a base(10); a slab centering control unit(31) having plural rolls(14) embedded in the central part of a roll table(12) to support a slab(4) while revolving itself round a support axis(15) and having an oval centering control roll(13) embedded in the left and the right side of the roll table respectively to be revolved round a gear axis(17) which is connected with a motor(28) and a reduction machine(27) by a shaft(18); and a sensing unit(32) making an up-and-down steel rod(21), which is fixed on the lower area of a sensing plate(20), elastically moved upwards and downwards along a guide pipe(24) and for transmitting a signal to the motor by sensing a touch plate(25) attached on the lower part of the up-and-down steel rod from an up-and-down nearing sensor(26-1, 26-2).
