PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by providing a zone for changing the volume of a coating chamber to be supplied with an air current in a coating booth. SOLUTION: A preparation zone, an automatic coating zone, a repairing zone and a setting zone are provided in a coating booth 1 from its inlet side. A partition wall 5 composed of four wall panels formed by connecting a front panel 51, two side-wall panels 52 following the front panel and a ceiling-wall panel 53 is provided on both sides of the repairing zone. The wall panels 51 to 53 are suspended from a rail 54 and supported in a coating chamber 11, and the tip of the rod of an air cylinder 55 is fixed, for example, on the upper end of the front panel 51. The partition wall 5 is moved to the advancing position and retreating position by driving the air cylinder 55. When the repairing zone is not used, the partition wall 5 is moved to the advancing position to decrease the volume in the coating chamber 11, and the opening degree of an air feed damper and the revolving speed of an exhaust fan are decreased at the same time. Energy is saved in this way.
