PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate contact of a running thread before being grasped with a thread grasping groove with an empty bobbin and prevent thread breakage or quality of thread form deteriorating due to generation of feather by providing a thread handling area regulating guide and a thread leading guide running thread, and guiding a thread to be directly led in the thread catching groove of the empty bobbin. SOLUTION: On either side of two bobbin holders 3, 4 rotatably mounted on a turret table 2, a thread is led to be wound with a bobbin 5 through a contact roller 9, a traverse device 10, and the like provided on the upper stream side of a thread handling area. When the wound thread reaches a fixed quantity, it is in order changed to the bobbin 5 mounted on the other bobbin holder to wind the thread. At this changeover of the thread, before contacting the running thread wound on a full bobbin with an empty bobbin, a thread handling area regulating guide 15 and a thread leading guide 13 are inserted between the full bobbin and the empty bobbin, and the thread is guided on the empty bobbin side, and the thread is grasped with the thread catching groove while the empty bobbin is moved up to the winding position.
