PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the oxidization of a formed body hard by restraining a temperature rise near the outlet port of a sintering furnace by a flame curtain. SOLUTION: A sintering furnace is constituted so that a sintering furnace main body 1, retained at a high temperature, is filled with oxidization preventing gas and decomposed gas of oxidization preventing gas is burnt at the vicinity of an inlet port and an outlet port 6 for the sintering furnace main body 1 to generate a flame curtain 17 while formed bodies 4 are transferred from the inlet port into the sintering furnace main body 1 to sinter them and carry out the same from the outlet port 6. In such a sintering furnace, a flame regulating device 11, injecting incombustible gas against the formed bodies 4, is provided at the vicinity of the outlet port 6.
