PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing pump unit having a common base formed into a lightweight and rigid structure for overall weight reduction, and having a common unit on which various kinds of component parts, such as a pump, electric motor, and priming tank, can be stably and firmly mounted. SOLUTION: In a fire extinguishing pump unit in which a pump and an electric motor for driving the pump are mounted on an integral common base 11, the common base 11 is made of a steel plate, having a rectangular upper surface 11a on which the pump and the electric motor are mounted and an L-shaped side part 11b provided on the long side of the upper surface by bending to support the upper surface. The side part has a lower surface parallel to the upper surface and a hole 12 for mounting an anchor bolt is provided in the lower surface. A reinforcing part 19 bent in the form of I is provided on the rectangular side of the upper surface.
