PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent paper feeding failure by providing a separation claw for pressing from upside a portion positioned in the other side portion of an intermediate plate, of a recording medium loaded on the intermediate plate, with a tip that abuts from upside on the recording medium loaded on the intermediate plate and presses it, and with an adjusting member for adjusting balance of both weights of the rear end. SOLUTION: In a universal cassette in a copying machine, on the bottom wall of a cassette bucket, an intermediate plate 64 which has a size about a half of a bottom wall and has a recording medium loaded on it is oscillatingly arranged, and a side regulating plate for regulating the both ends of the recording medium on the intermediate plate 64 is movably placed. A pair of right and left L-shaped separation claws 90 are rotatably supported around a shaft 92 on this side regulating plate. In this case, each separation claw 90 is formed from a tip 90a folded for pressing from upside the both ends of the tip of the recording medium in the paper feeding direction, and a projecting part 90c provided for a rear end 90b on the opposite side of the tip 90a. By providing this projecting part 90c with a plate-shaped rubber 94, an adjusting member, weight balance is adjusted.
