PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nitroarene with a raised para- selectivity from a monosubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon. SOLUTION: This method comprises using an aluminosilicate which is in the form of various zeolites and k10 montmorillonite in variuous ratios of Si/Al within the range of 5 to 1,000 as a catalyst, carrying out nitration of a monosubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon using nitric acid in the molar ratio of the nitric acid to the monosubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon within the range of 0.25 to 2.5 at a temperature within the range of 30-160 deg.C for a period within the range of 0.25-3.0 h, continuously removing the produced water from a reactional solution with a Dean-Stark apparatus, subsequently removing the catalyst by filtration, then concentrating the reactional mixture solution and thereby recovering the produced mixture.
|
