PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the detection of a slight amount of urination and to make detection by discriminating the urination and evacuation. SOLUTION: The sensor 20 for diapers has strips 22, 23, 24 of conductive patterns on a base material 21. The intermediate part of the strip 23 is provided with a break 25. A water repelling layer 29 is so formed as to cover the entire strip exclusive of electrical connection terminal 31 portions. The water repelling layer 29 is provided with a window 33 opened on the periphery of the break 25 and a window 36 opened across the strips 22, 23 in the position parted longitudinally form the window. A detecting circuit detects the urination when both of the insulating points of the windows 33, 36 are conducted by the urine. The windows 34, 35 which do not bestride the other strips are disposed respectively on the strips 22, 24 in the neighborhood of a feces discharge position. The detecting circuit detects the evacuation when the strips 22, 24 are conducted by the feces across both windows.
