PURPOSE: A welding method is provided to enhance welding performance by selecting a welding condition gauge among plural welding condition gauges according to the thickness of a base metal. CONSTITUTION: A CO2 welder (10) welds a base metal with a welding condition gauge selected among plural welding condition gauges (20,30) according to the thickness of the base metal. An operator sets the welding condition gauge with a switch (41). The switch is placed in a handle (40) of the welder. Thus, the welder rapidly and regularly welds the base metal with plural welding condition gauges and then welding performance and welding quality are improved.
