PURPOSE: A multi gate driving apparatus for an electric field emission display is provided to embody a gray scale by driving and timely sharing each a multi gate during the scan signal. CONSTITUTION: A shift register(20) synchronizes a data of the outside with a clock signal(CLK), The clock signal(CLK) is outputted sequently. A latch(22) stores and outputs the data outputting from the shift register(20). An end gate(24) maintains the data outputting from the shift register(20) for a predetermined time. A multiplexer(26) receives the signal from the end gate(24), and determined a gate for scanning by the selective signal from the end gate(24). The multiplexer(26) has two multiplexer(26) at the each output line of the end gate(24). The first output line of the end gate(24) contacts in parallel to two multiplexer(26). When each the multiplexer(26) supplies the selective signal, two sub-gate(27,29:28,29) is selectively driven by the multiplexer(26).
