PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile inspection certificate filing device capable of easily and speedily inputting information on a client to a computer and easily retrieving the required information. SOLUTION: Concerning the device for filing an automobile inspection certificate through a programmed computer, this device is provided with an image input device 2 for converting the document information of the automobile inspection certificate to image data and reading them, information input part 11 for retrieval for inputting information for retrieval on the image data, storage means 4 for storing the image data and information for retrieval, display means 5 for displaying the image data, data write control part 12 for storing the image data read by the image input device 2 and the information for retrieval inputted by the information input part 11 for retrieval in the storage means 4 while mutually relating them, and data output control part 13 for extracting the image data corresponding to the selected information for retrieval from the storage means 4 and outputting them onto the display device 5 when the prescribed information for retrieval is selected and retrieval is instructed.
