PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera adopting a magnetic recording device capable of executing magnetic recording with desired recording density even when the moving speed of film is changed. SOLUTION: This camera in which the film having a magnetic recording part can be loaded is provided with a film feeding mechanism 5 feeding the film, a pulse signal generation mechanism 2 generating a pulse signal with the movement of the film, a pulse interval measuring part 4 measuring the interval of generating the pulse signal, a magnetic recording density setting part 6 setting the recording density in the case of recording magnetic data at the magnetic recording part based on the measured result, the magnetic recording part 8 executing magnetic recording operation to the magnetic recording part with the set recording density, and a magnetic recording density correction part 7 correcting either the measured result or the magnetic recording density considering the difference of the moving speed of the film at the time of measurement by the measuring part 4 and at the time of magnetic recording by the recording part 8.
