PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image from being color-mixed and an image carrier from being damaged by opposing a developer carrier to the image carrier by turning it and moving the surface of the developer carrier exposed from a sub-developing device before a second latent image formed on the image carrier arrives at the developing position of the sub-developing device. SOLUTION: By a developer carrier surface moving means of a control part, the developing roller 5a is turned and opposed to the photoreceptor drum 1 and the carrier surface exposed from a second developing unit 5 is moved before the second latent image formed on the drum 1 arrives at the developing position of the unit 5. Thus, the area of the roller 5a of the unit 5 where black toner and carrier are deposited is moved, and the toner thin layer area where the black toner and the carrier are not deposited is caused when a power source is turned on, thereby preventing the toner image from being color-mixed and the drum 1 from being damaged at the developing time of the unit 5. |
