PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an important portion in the state of an improved positional accuracy, such as positional accuracy at least between a motor and a head, and to reduce costs. SOLUTION: A casing member 1 is provided with an attaching member 4 having a spindle motor attaching section 2 and a head driving mechanism attaching section 3, which are formed to be integral comprising the same hard member, and the other member 5 provided separately from this attaching member 4. Thus, since the attaching sections 2 and 3 of the spindle motor and the head driving mechanism are made integrally of the attaching member 4 comprising the same member 4 such as aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy or the like, the positional accuracy of an important portion, such as positional accuracy between the spindle motor and the magnetic head, is maintained. Also, since the casing member 1 is separated into the attaching section 4 having high positional accuracy and the other member 5, the casing member 1 is manufactured inexpensively.
