PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigator for vehicles, capable of automatically selecting pass points to a destination. SOLUTION: The user inputs running conditions using an operating unit 12. The running condition includes the days of the week or weather at the pass points to be inputted. The navigator automatically acquires the running conditions at the pass points and stores them in a memory 14. A navigation ECU 16 compares the current running conditions with the running conditions stored in the memory 14 and selects pass points conforming with the current running conditions to search for a route to a destination. It displays the obtd. route on a display 18. Thus, if it is rain, pass points suited for the rainy day will be automatically selected. |
