PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a memory space and a memory capacity used for an address conversion table without placing a limit on the use of an address field by stepwise reducing the address space up to an output destination address space specified by the total number of output destinations. SOLUTION: A lowest level S1 of an address converter 10 consists of M-sets of address conversion tables Table(1)11-Table(M) 14. The address conversion tables of levels S1, S2 adopt a 2:1 connection form where an output OUT1 (X) of the two conversion tables of the level S1 connects with an input of one table of the level S2. Then a root of the hierarchical tree structure, that is, the highest level SZ consists of a sole table memory TableZ(1)19. The table memory 19 applies address conversion to data outputted from two table memories TableZ-1(1)17 and TableZ-1(2)18 included in the 2nd highest level SZ-1 and provides an output of the conversion result.
|
