TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR AUDIO SIGNAL, AUDIO DISK, ENODING DEVICE AND DECODING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability by selecting a mode generating stereo two-channel signals including first and second audio signals while down-mixing multichannel signals based on a first coefficient and a mode generating a stereo two-channel signals including only the first audio signal based on a second coefficient. SOLUTION: Five channel signals are inputted to input signals 101 to 105 respectively and the channel signals are impressed on a DVD audio formatting processing part 106. Coefficients for down-mixing these five channel signals into stereo two-channel signals and character data are applied to the processing part 106 respectively through input terminals 107, 109 and I/Fs 108, 110. Then, the coefficients and the character data are arranged at prescribed positions based on the operation instruction of an operation part 113 and the control of a system controller 114 in the part 106.
