<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device for vehicle capable of locking a variable transmission ratio actuator at trouble while maintaining high and correct efficiency of a variable transmission ratio mechanism, in a steering control device for vehicle provided with the variable transmission ratio mechanism making the transmission ratio variable by rotational drive of the variable transmission ratio actuator between a steering wheel and a steering gear mechanism. SOLUTION: In this steering control device for vehicle provided with a variable transmission ratio mechanism making transmission ratio variable by rotational drive of a drive motor 25 between a steering wheel and a steering gear mechanism 42, it is provided with a friction plate arranged in the torque transmission system of the drive motor 25 and a control means 50 controlling the operation condition of the friction plate, to limit rotation of the drive motor 25 by friction force.</p> |
