PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stock rack and a stock yard for grouping and storing laundry, capable of reducing working burdens, preventing grouping errors, and automating the grouping and carrying-in/out of the laundry at low cost. SOLUTION: A circulating chain 13 is fitted within the side frame 3 of a stock rack, and a plurality of crossbars 15 are laid at prescribed intervals between two endless chains. The circulating chain 13 conducts intermittent driving by unit of rotational amount corresponding to the interval of the crossbar 15. The stock rack is disposed on both sides of a stock yard so as to sandwich a passage, and a rail for conveying laundry is disposed on the passage. The intermittent driving of the circulating chain 13 permits the crossbars corresponding to the grouping of the delivered laundry to be orbited to a position near the rail of the passage. A rail for conveying is mounted under the crossbar 15 of the stock rack and the end of the conveying line of the laundry faces a stop position thereof, thus it is possible to introduce the laundry to the corresponding crossbar 15 of the stock rack automatically.
