PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel construction method capable of constructing a tunnel by using all banking materials such as sandy soil, cohesive soil and crushed rocks existing in the circumference of the planned site of a tunnel, not requiring execution by solidification material of soil cement stabilization processing or the like in order to construct the tunnel such as an intersection road and a water passage by road filling. SOLUTION: A foundation part placing a rod-like reinforcing member 10 is formed on a ground surface for tunnel construction, and whenever a constant amount of filling for the ground surface is filled, the rod-like reinforcing member 10 is placed or set on the circumference of the outer periphery of a tunnel construction planned part to form the reinforcing body 50 of the tunnel construction planned circumference. The tunnel is constructed by excavating the tunnel construction planned part of the reinforcing body.
