PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a shock of soil when dropping into a soil hopper to effectively reduce generation of vibration and noise associated with charging of soil. SOLUTION: At Fig. (i), excavation C discharged from a bucket 106 drops on a slat member 2 having a plurality of movable slat elements 21 placed thereunder proximately to one another and is deposited there. Then as indicated in Figs. (ii) to (iii), the movable slat elements 21 are moved successively in a predetermined direction along a rail 1. Since gaps between the respective movable slat elements 21 are thus sequentially opened with appropriate time intervals, the excavation earth C deposited thereon gradually crumbles and dispersively drops into a hopper body. Thus a shock applied to the hopper body is remarkably reduced.
