An extruded cereal based product is produced in the shape of a central core with a ring around it, which may be of different thicknesses. The extrusion chamber is divided into two concentric chambers (3, 5) by a separating cone (70). The position of the cone can be adjusted, relative to the outer casing (90) by changing the position of spacing rings (73). This adjusts the relative size of the extrusion openings (7, 9), and hence the sizes of the central core of the product and the outer ring. |
