PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging method in which a unit carbon fiber package is prevented from losing its shape by packaging the carbon fiber package using a heat shrinkable resin film. SOLUTION: In a method for packaging a carbon fiber package, the outside diameter of a cylindrical heat shrinkable film is 110% to 120% of the outside diameter of the package in the cylindrical heat shrinkable film in which the carbon fiber package formed of the carbon fiber wound in a cylindrical shape is placed in the cylindrical heat shrinkable film, and heated and shrunk to adhere the film on an outer surface of the package.
