PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crosslinkable ethylene type resin electrical insulating compositions which prevent the occurrence of the blooming due to antioxidants as a conventional problem and excel in scorch resistance and processing stability, and electric wires and cables using the same which are good in water treeing resistance, heat distortion resistance and heat aging characteristics. SOLUTION: Electrical insulating compositions comprise (A) 100 pts.wt. ethylene type resin, (B) 0.01-0.2 pt.wt. respective three types of antioxidants consisting of 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol), a compound containing 3-(3,5,-di-tert- butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate in the molecule and distearyl thiodipropionate, (C) 0.5-3 pts.wt. organic peroxide, and electric wires and cables can be obtained by coating these electrical insulating compositions as the insulator on to conductors and crosslinking the composition. |
