摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety and driveability when intake airflow control means is faulty. SOLUTION: An actual intake airflow rate Qcy1 is computed (S11, S12) based on the intake airflow rate Qa detected by an airflow meter, based on which a fuel injection rate Qf2 is then calculated (S13, S14). On the other hand, a target fuel injection rate tQf2 is computed (S15 to S17) based on a target intake airflow rate tQcy1 which is obtained based on accelerator opening. The computed target fuel injection rate is then used to calculate (S18) limit values (upper limit and lower limit values) with respect to the fuel injection rate Qf2. Comparing the fuel injection rate Qf2 with the limit values, the fuel injection rate Qf2 is restricted to the limit values when it exceeds the limit values (S19, S20).
