PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor of a care given and to place a physically handicapped person safely and rapidly on a carriage by mounting a fall preventing plate to a bed, and mounting seat side plates to a shape change type body holder. SOLUTION: Thin seat side plates 14 are rigidly fixed to both sides of a seat 3, and a fall preventing plate 36 is mounted to a bed 1 through hinges 37. A physically handicapped person is transferred to the bed 1 as he is in a position of lying on his back so that the center of gravity of the physically handicapped person is almost directly below a support plate 22. A care given is positioned on the opposite side to a longitudinal column 19 and turns the fall preventing plate 36 almost vertically upward to hold it down with the elbow. In this state, the physically handicapped person is turned frontward to lie on his side and supported by the fall preventing plate 36. A body holder in a dotted line position 90 is separated from a connector 10, laid on the bed 1 and drawn frontward, and the seat side plates 14 are thrusted between the hips of the physically handicapped person and the bed 1 to lay the physically handicapped person on his back on the body holder. The body holder is then lifted by a rope and placed on a carriage, and the physically handicapped person can be placed on the carrige safely with little labor. |
