PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by displaying the position of a currently operating elevator car at only a specific landing of landings of floors of a building. SOLUTION: This system is composed of a main controller MC to provide position information of a current floor of an elevator car, plural car position displays DM1-DMn to display position information of the current floor of th elevator car to passengers waiting in halls, hall call buttons CM1-CMn for the passengers in the halls to call the elevator car, plural sub-controllers SC 1-SCn connected to the main controller MC, car position displays DM1-DMn, and hall call buttons CM1-CMn to display position information of the current floor of the elevator car outputted from the main controller MC only when calling the elevator car by the hall call buttons CM1-CMn exists, or regardless of calling the elevator car by the hall call buttons CM1-CMn, and a serial communication line COM to provide a common communication line between the sub-controllers SC1-SCn and the main controller MC.
