METHOD FOR EXTENDING CONNECTION RANGE OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method is provided to extend a cell size or a connection range without causing a redesign of an ASIC correlation machine. CONSTITUTION: The method for detecting a mobile-telephone signal comprises the steps of: transmitting a base station signal at a time r for a first frame boundary; starting at a time q after the time r for a second frame boundary to receive the mobile-telephone signal in a search window ending at a time (q+p) after the time r for the second frame boundary; and detecting the mobile-telephone by use of a correlator, wherein the time q is a timing advance value, and the time p indicates a time interval corresponding to a bit limitation for the search window.
