PURPOSE: A video communication system is provided to reduce an effect of a coding defect in an image that an image coding process is forced. CONSTITUTION: The video communication system for processing an image coded by a coding process comprising a quantum of an information associated with an image according to at least two quantum step sizes, comprises a processor (183) for converting the image to a set of display components and for forcing each quantum step size to be correlated to one of the components; and a controller (185) for removing the selected ones of the components from the set, wherein the respective selected components have an absolute value below a threshold value, which becomes a function of the quantum step size correlated with the selected component. |
