A cycle crank 2 has a cylindrical portion 3 on which is fixed a ring 9 provided with recesses 8, 8a which may be engaged by teeth 7, 7a on a pedal supporting sleeve 4 which is slidable and rotatable on the portion 3 against the action of a spring 10 so that the pedal 1 may be rotated from an operative to a folded position, Fig. 1 (not shown). In Fig. 7 (not shown) the embodiment of Fig. 2 is provided with a slidable and shouldered cross pin (37) which may lock the sleeve (4) in position. In Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) the pedal axle (26) is mounted in a slidable and rotatable sleeve (21) provided with dogs engageable with an end ring (29) but separate from an abutting upper slidable and rotatable spring pressed sleeve (22) having a pin-and-slot connection (35), (36) with the crank (24). In Fig. 4 (not shown) the sleeve 4 and so on of Fig. 2 is supported by a clamp fixed to the crank end. |
