The security system prevents the vehicle being driven and can be operated by a remote control. If the driver enters the vehicle using the correct security codes, but without deactivating the drive-away protection, then the system provides a simple indication of this condition and deactivates the drive away protection. This enables the driver to start the engine and prepare to drive the vehicle.
