PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass screen construction capable of increasing the strength of rib glass by using tempered glass for the rib glass and of reducing the width of rib to one-half without reducing the strength thereby effectively utilizing the space around the rib. SOLUTION: In a suspension method for glass screen with a rib glass 2 erected in a direction perpendicular to the vertical side of the face plate glass 1 at one side face or both face side of a butted portion of the face plate glass erected as an exterior wall, drilled holes are made at each corner of butted sides of tempered glass for short-sized ribs placed side by side in a line up and down, and neighboring drilled holes near a butted side are clamped and connected with a connecting metal fittings 13 through a cushioning material. Then, a supporting metal fittings 12 is attached to a hole at the non-butted opposite side of the face plate glass 1 through a cushioning material, a wire 11 or a steel rod tensioned between an upper structural body and a lower supporting frame 16 near the metal fittings 12 is fixed to a supporting metal fittings 12 and the coupled rib glass 2 is suspended and supported.
