<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively, simply, positively install a flange and a stopper for preventing piston withdrawal or to clog the antiopening end, except a given part, including the discharge port of a cylinder body in using a pipe-like member for the material of the cylinder body in a cylinder device for a master cylinder. SOLUTION: A collar part 10f projected in the radial direction is integrally formed at the open end side of a cylinder body 10 formed of a pipe-like member made of steel. A flange 12 engaged with the outer boundary side of the cylinder body 10 and extended in the radial direction is provided. Serrations 10s extended in the longitudinal axial direction are formed on the flange engaging part of the cylinder body 10. Pressing in the collar part 10f and the flange 12 with the apex of each serration plastically deforming fixes the flange 12 to the cylinder body 10 with the flange 12 abutting to the collar part 10f or its root part.</p> |
