摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a successful correction yield. SOLUTION: An active matrix substrate 236 and a counter substrate 237 are provided holding a liquid crystal layer 254 in between. On the active matrix substrate 236, a gate electrode 220 is formed and a gate insulating film 240 is formed on it. A TFT 24, a source electrode 221 and a drain electrode 222 are provided thereon. An interlayer insulating film 234 is formed thereon and a contact hole 226 is provided. On the interlayer insulating film 234, a pixel electrode 235 and an alignment film 253 are formed. A conductive line of the drain electrode 222 is provided with two contracted parts (a), (b) where breadth of the conductive line is narrowed. On the contracted parts (a), (b), the pixel electrode 235 is not formed and the interlayer insulating film 234, the alignment film 253 and the liquid crystal layer 254 are formed. Based on this construction, even if any defect is found, it is possible to correct it by irradiating the contracted parts (a), (b) with a laser beam.</p>
