摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the uniformity of electrification, to obtain stable injection electrification for a long period in any environment, namely, to enable ozone-less injection electrification with low voltage applied, by incorporating a specified charge transfer material into the surface layer of a photoreceptor and allowing specified electrification promoting particles to be present on the contact surfaces of an electrifying member and photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains a charge transfer material such as condensed ring hydrocarbons which may have substituents. Charges are injected to the electrophotographic photoreceptor surface while nonmagnetic electrification promoting particles having conductivity, <=16 electronegativity and 10 nm to 5μm main particle size are present on the contact surfaces between the electrifying member and the photoreceptor. The condensed ring hydrocarbons have one or more substituents expressed by the formula. In the formula, R3 and R4 are each an alkyl groups or the like which may have substituents and R3 and R4 may be same or different, Ar2 is an aryl group which may have substituents, and n is an integer 0, 1 or 2.
