PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flow rate of gas passing through each cell from becaming nonuniform, resulting in deterioration of cell performance. SOLUTION: A separator 30 has holes 40, 41, 42 and recesses 90, 91 formed on one face. These recesses define an in-cell oxidizing gas flow passage in a space to an anode. Oxidizing gas to be supplied from the outside to a fuel cell is distributed from a oxidizing gas supply manifold defined by the hole 40, passing through the in-cell oxidizing gas flow passage defined by the recesses 90, 91 collected in an oxidizing gas exhaust manifold defined by the hole 42 and exhausted to the outside. In this case, the oxidizing gas passing through the in-cell oxidizing gas flow passage is passed via an oxidizing gas distributing manifold formed by the hole 41. |
