FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using intra-articulation body produced when complete cartilage exfoliation takes place, as autocartilage. 1-3 transplants are produced as cylindrical joint pins having total cross- section area equal to that of the cartilaginous defect. The pins are introduced into the canals made through subchondrous cortical plate placed under the articulation cartilage defect in perpendicular to the articulation surface. Articulation surface congruence is restored by modeling their part protruding above the articulation surface, to exclude additional pin fixation, their length is 2-3 times greater than the diameter. The diameter for operating with the pins to be introduced is 0.1 cm less than the formed pins. EFFECT: prevented development of dystrophy phenomena. 3 cl, 5 dwg
