PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating rush by which both works of moistening treatment and color finishing treatment of the rush can be efficiently and safely performed in a short time. SOLUTION: Dry rush is stored in a storing body 1 of a rush treating apparatus M1. A lid 15 is covered on the top opening part of the storing body 1. A tank 61 in which hydrogen peroxide water is stored is fitted and a fan 5 and a spraying device 6 are worked. The hydrogen peroxide water is misty sprayed from a spray nozzle 63 and a part thereof is evaporated and is included in ventilating air. Waterdrops of the hydrogen peroxide water included in the ventilating air are separated from the ventilating air by means of a filter so that they are not carried into the storing body 1. The ventilating air contg. vapor of the hydrogen peroxide water and steam carried into the storing body 1 passes through the rush to moistening it with steam included in the ventilating air and passes through to the duct 4 side while the rush is bleached and is circulated.
