PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for supplying (transmitting) energy and/or transmitting information to a small device for implantation into a body such as a heat pacemaker without giving troubles to organic tissues and/or for receiving information obtained by the small device for implantation into the body outside the body. SOLUTION: Basically, a light-receiving element 4 is disposed within a living body, and is irradiated with near infrared laser beams. When energy is transmitted, the small device for implantation into a body is directly operated by electric energy photoelectrically converted by the light-receiving element, or a second battery is charged. When an information is transmitted, signals are sent to an information system of the small device by irradiating the laser beams modulated by the information. When the information is received, an information light from a luminous element provided within the body is detected by the light-receiving element 4 disposed outside the body. This system does not need a surgical operation for exchanging a first battery and special ways for obtaining the information.
