Preventives/remedies for syndrome caused by the worsening of sepsis, hyperchemokinemia and hepatic diseases which contain as the active ingredien t an antithrombin agent and/or a thrombin synthesis inhibitor. Because of bein g usable in preventing or treating diseases including sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock and multiorgan failure, these drugs are useful in the treatment of trauma, burn, heat attack, severe infection, etc. caused by, in particula r, traffic accidents in the field of emergency care. These drugs are also usefu l in preventing and treating hyperchemokinemia and hepatic diseases.
