PURPOSE: A method for switching a brake light of a vehicle on and off is provided to be easily recognized by a rear travelling vehicle in visual by indicating a brake condition. CONSTITUTION: The brake device of the vehicle is comprised of:a battery(10) of vehicle which has a 12V power; a brake light(14) for lighting by receiving the power of the battery through a relay(12); a brake switch(16) which becomes a on-state by sensing the state that a driver steps on a brake pedal; a control unit(18) for lighting the brake light by outputting a control signal to the relay.
