PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery suitable especially for driving a motor of an electric vehicle capable of keeping good charge/discharge characteristics even in high output cycle operation. SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery is obtained by housing an inner electrode body 1 prepared by winding or stacking a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 through a separator 4 made of a porous polymer in a battery case 17. A resistance value of each of a plurality of positive electrode tabs 5A to be connected to the positive electrode plate 2 is specified to a range of ±20% of an average resistance value of the positive electrode tabs 5A, and a resistance value of each of a plurality of negative electrode tabs 5B to be connected to the negative electrode plate 3 is specified to a range of ±20% of an average resistance value of the negative electrode tabs 5B.
