AC ADAPTOR AND POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption of an electronic apparatus and make an AC adaptor applied universally by a method wherein the output voltage, etc., of the AC adaptor is controlled on the electronic apparatus side or on the AC adaptor side. SOLUTION: An AC adaptor 1 which can supply a DC voltage to a PC main part 2 via an output line 3 is connected to the PC main part 2 with a bus 4 which enables bidirectional transmission of data signals. The AC adaptor 1 has an output conversion unit 5 which converts an AC voltage into a DC voltage, an output regulation unit 6 which regulates the converted DC voltage to be a predetermined voltage which is required by the PC main part 2, and an AC adaptor microcomputer 7 which controls the current or voltage of the AC adaptor 1.
