A magneto-optic recording medium of magnetic domain expansion reproduction type including a recording layer (7), a reproducing layer (3), a gate layer (6) adapted for selectively extracting magnetic domains in the recording layer and provided on the recording layer, a magnetic field reinforcing layer (5) adapted for reinforcing the leakage magnetic field reaching the reproducing layer and provided on the gate layer, and a blocking layer (4) adapted for blocking the force of bonding with exchange interaction from the magnetic field reinforcing layer to the reproducing layer and provided on the magnetic field reinforcing layer.
