PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light confining device of a vibration isolation device capable of surely confining the vibration isolation device during the execution of a structure, being simply installed/dismantled and getting along without requiring any large installation area. SOLUTION: A confining device is used for confining a vibration isolation device providing flange plates 8a and 8b on both up and down sections of a base isolation rubber 7, and it is equipped with a plurality of partially cylindrical segments 1 arranged to the circumferential surfaces of both up and down flange plates 8a and 8b so as to surround both of the up and down flange plates 8a and 8b and tightly clamping members for tightly clamping between the circumferential end sections of the segments 1 adjacent to each other and for adhering the segments 1 to the circumferential surfaces of both up and down flange plates 8a and 8b.
