PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sedimentation of metal particles in slip for glass lining and the blocking of a glazing spray gun and to form a smooth lined surface by mixing a glass powder surface-coated with a corrosion resistant metal with the slip and firing the resultant glass lining material on a base material. SOLUTION: At least a part of the surface of a glass or ceramic powder is coated with a corrosion resistant metal and the coated powder is mixed with slip for glass lining. The resultant glass lining material is fired on a base material to form an electrically conductive glass lining layer. Tantalum or a platinum group metal is used as the corrosion resistant metal. At least 50% of the surface of the glass or ceramic powder is coated with the corrosion resistant metal. The particle diameter of the glass or ceramic powder is preferably 2-300μm. The thickness of the coating layer is preferably 0.1-1.0μm.
