HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBE FOR COVERING OF HANDLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-shrinkable tube capable of closely contacting with a handle by heat-shrinkage, enabling easy exchange, having excellent recyclability and antibacterial property and useful for the protection and antibacterial processing of the surface of a handle by making the film with a composition containing polyethylene terephthalate and an antibacterial agent. SOLUTION: The objective tube is composed of (A) a polyethylene terephthalate preferably containing ethylene terephthalate unit accounting for at least 70 mol.% of the total repeating unit and having an intrinsic viscosity of preferably 0.5-1.0 and (B) preferably 0.3-0.8 wt.% (based on 100 wt.% of the resin composition) of an antibacterial agent such as antibacterial zeolite and phosphate-based antibacterial agent. The thickness of the tube is preferably 50-200μm and the thermal shrinkage in radial direction is preferably >=20%. The tube can be produced e.g. by extruding the composition through a ring die and drawing the extruded tube.
